This is a new role for someone looking to develop a long-term career as a business coach, based in Malvern East. The role is for an immediate start. While we expect you to come to us with a breadth of skill and experience, we will assist and train you in the methodologies and nuances of coaching.
Your skills, attitude, experience and outlook on life:
If this role is right for you, you’ll be highly intelligent as well as possessing a high EQ. You’ll relate well to people, be a good communicator and an exceptional listener. Importantly you’ll be able to put your own ego aside and really relate to clients and their businesses. You’ll be a super organised person, balancing a sense of urgency while maintaining high standards. You’ll be the kind of person who can think on their feet, while being confident and unflappable. You’ll be self-sufficient, but also be prepared to ask for advice and help as the need arises.
You might have a background in large organisations, or you might have worked in or supplied services to small and medium businesses. Ideally you will be degree qualified in a relevant stream. Your expertise might be in accounting, sales, marketing, technology, human resources, general management or a similar field. Either way, you’ll be a strategic thinker, adept at spotting trends and patterns in a business. You might have been involved in a consulting, training or mentoring role in the past or completed presentations or speaking engagements and found that you enjoyed the role of teacher and coach. You might even be practicing as a solo business coach, but be looking to join a premium team and boost your results.
You’ll be someone who can quickly assess the situation and come up with several approaches to a problem. You’ll be a good judge of people and know how to present your ideas to different people to get the best outcome. You’ll also know when to be firm and hold someone directly accountable and when to back off. You’re an all-rounder who understands the mechanics of a business, from sales and marketing through to cashflow and profit and loss.
You’ll be a good business developer and you’ll be great at selling yourself to prospective clients. The results you achieve for your clients will ensure you have a long and successful business coaching relationship with them.
While everything listed above is important to your success, you’ll also be a prodigious learner, someone always looking to read up on a topic and most importantly put things into action. You’ll definitely be computer literate, and be comfortable using intermediate to advanced functions in Excel and Word.
A bit about the role we’re looking to fill…
The role of business coach is the ultimate in mixed role, where every day presents a new challenge. One day you’re coaching a client through a business partnership issue, the next you’re assisting them with the interviewing of a key recruit. However, there are several major roles that will make up your typical week:
– Coaching – One on one coaching of small and medium sized businesses.
– Strategy Development – Development of plans, strategies, documents and templates to enable you to coach with success.
– Sales – Qualification and follow up of prospective clients. Holding strategy planning meetings with prospective clients to demonstrate your calibre and win their trust and confidence.
– Networking & Prospecting – Attendance at networking events and other business gatherings. Prospecting new clients via the phone and face to face and securing appointments.
The role has huge scope for career and personal growth and development – what you put in, is what you get out. The starting salary package is negotiable based on your experience and the skills you bring to the organisation (starting from $80,000 – $120,000). Ongoing, the package includes bonuses based on reaching predetermined performance levels with the expectation of a salary package in excess of $200,000.
If you believe this is you, please forward your resume and a covering letter to Ms Tania Baker at taniabaker@tenfoldcoaching.com.au.
