Etsy is seeking a leadership coach to join a growing team of coaches based in Etsy’s Brooklyn office.

    About the Team

The coaching team at Etsy provides 1:1 coaching and group facilitation to people across the company who are in various roles and stages of their professional development. The majority of the people we work with are early-career managers to just under VP-level. We also work with some individual contributors who do not manage people.

Etsy’s coaching program is managed by a member of Etsy’s Learning + Development team. The coaching team currently includes three other coaches who manage independent practices and are not Etsy employees. However they are “embedded” in Etsy’s culture and generally work from the Etsy Brooklyn office Tuesdays through Thursdays. Coaches work with clients in person and remotely across all Etsy global offices, which are located in the U.S. Canada, Ireland, U.K., Germany, France, Australia and Japan.

The Etsy coaching team model is similar to collaborative instructional team models common in universities. The team meets bi-weekly and co-designs the program together. We address content, implementation and program management issues together, and are constantly thinking about how to improve the coaching practice at Etsy.

    About the Job

    • Provide 50 minute in-person and remote professional development/leadership coaching sessions to Etsy employees across all global offices
    • Coaching load is generally ~20 clients at a given time; session cadence is typically every 2-3 weeks
    • Coaches also regularly facilitate group discussions, including groups of 6-8 employees participating in an ongoing social, peer learning program. Facilitation happens in-person and remotely. Coaches are trained and given guidelines on how to facilitate these meetings.
    • Depending on areas of expertise and interest, sometimes coaches help design workshops on specific topics to facilitate for Etsy employees.
    • The impact of the coaching program and coaches are evaluated by clients through an anonymous feedback process.
    • Pay rate is $200 an hour

    You are/have:

    • Innovative and have creative ideas around coaching, learning and instruction and how coaching fits into the Etsy learning ecosystem.
