    About the Opportunity:

    Are you interested in contributing to another’s growth by helping them to actively participate in their community through teaching them to work at a job independently !!??

    We are currently seeking, high energy, compassionate, motivated, flexible individuals who are self starters and have a real interest in working with individuals diagnosed with a developmental disability to work as JOB COACHES.

    Our JOB COACHES are responsible for providing initial training and then intermittent monitoring of a developmentally disabled (MR/DD) worker at a community job site until the worker is able work there on an independent basis. The duties include teaching job set up procedures and self supplying of materials to MR/DD workers, providing feedback to Employment Specialists regarding the worker’s vocational performance and transporting the individuals to and from work sites with a company vehicle.
    Requirements
    The ideal candidate will possess at least a high school diploma and must have a valid New York State driver’s license. Previous experience working with developmentally disabled population preferred. Excellent oral and written skills, the ability to interact effectively with coworkers, consumers, families and outside contacts and,the availability and willingness to work in varied environments must!! Candidates must be able to work evening morning and evenings.
