    We are currently seeking an experienced Career Consultant for a project-based position to cover assignments in the Los Angeles County area, with a service office located in El Segundo.

    Position Overview:

    This is a project-based position with no guarantee of hours.  This position provides post-employment separation meeting support, group transition workshops and one-on-one coaching services to professionals in career transition in and around El Segundo, Santa Monica, Torrance, North Long Beach, etc. with a service office located in El Segundo.  Delivers guidance to all level of former employee (“candidate”) on preparing to conduct a successful job search.  Conducts group and 1:1 candidate training/coaching on preparing for the job market.  Content includes personal assessment, defining short-and long-term employment options and goals, entrepreneurship, resume development, personal branding, social media, networking, interviewing, negotiating, etc.  Interacts as an effective member of a market delivery team, and the cross functional team, within the local market.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Typically provide clear, compelling introduction to Right Management’s outplacement services to separated employees immediately following the employment separation meeting
    • Typically meet one-on-one or in a group setting with separated employee(s) to provide the details of the sponsored Right Management outplacement program, provide encouragement, and answer preliminary questions about the outplacement services and how to get started
    • Occasionally deliver/facilitate engaging, impactful training including group presentations, career transition workshops; present concepts clearly and concisely; apply adult learning principles to group presentations and appropriately adjust presentations to meet the needs and level of the audience
    • Occasionally provide career coaching at all levels, including executives, with the objective of achieving tangible and timely outcomes with former employees
    • Occasionally coach former employees in setting job search/transition objectives while developing realistic work plans to achieve results
    • Occasionally coach to develop strategic business solutions/search strategies for former employees; apply local market knowledge, business experience, information and analytical perspectives to improve and accelerate former employees’ success
    • Document candidate interaction and activity according to company protocols
    • Meet/exceed service quality and satisfaction standards/metrics
    • Stay current on industry, company, executive, talent changes, updates, trends – through networking groups, publications, etc. – to be a source of accurate market intelligence for candidates
    • Participate in continuous improvement processes for all aspects of one’s own outplacement and career management experience

    Desired Skills and Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Human Resources, or similar
    • 10+ years of experience in Outplacement/career coaching/job search and transition experience
    • 5+ years of experience in business management, human resources, recruiting/placement, training & development, outplacement/career management ideal
    • Working knowledge of sourcing/recruitment, economic/hiring trends in today’s web 2.0 technology climate
    • Can organize and structure workload to ensure maximum effectiveness in working with candidates and team members; adapts quickly to changing situations
    • Demonstrated ability to coach and provide effective, professional feedback and career transition/job search techniques and strategy to individuals and groups at all levels from individual contributor to executive
    • Communicates clearly and effectively in small and large group settings in all forms, one-on-one, and at all levels, in a professional manner
    • Develops, delivers and facilitates impactful presentations, engaging workshops and discussions; strong, active listening skills

    As part of the Sales Support team, this member will work closely with the Sales Managers, Sales Support Managers, and individual Specialists worldwide. This person will execute and enhance an existing quality program that includes review and reinforcement of core skills impacting business results. For those offices with non-dedicated Sales Support managers, they will facilitate these monthly reviews and provide feedback for improved performance.     • Sales (Inside Sales, Telesales, or Field Sales) experience.
    • Exposure to solution selling concepts and techniques.
    • CRM knowledge/system savvy.

    I. Position Summary:
    The Senior Director of Leadership and Organization Development is responsible for partnering with executive leaders, HR and other business leaders to develop and implement solutions that align with key business strategies and enhance organizational performance. This position provides consulting expertise, guidance and support around organizational design, change and development strategies to support service lines and focus on key performance indicators including Patient Loyalty, Physician Engagement, Employee Pride, Fiscal Commitment, and Community Involvement. The position assesses, designs, implements, manages and evaluates organizational development strategies, leadership development programs, coordinates non-clinical training programs and initiatives to improve overall organizational effectiveness and performance.

    Qualifications
    II. Job Duties:
    Major responsibilities will include facilitation and training, internal leadership coaching, oversight of external and internal coaching/consulting, management assessment and development, partnering with Education on front line supervisory development, consultation with leaders on motivational strategies, maximizing team performance and succession planning. Additional responsibilities include:

     Create, design and implement leadership development programs to impact leadership. Ensure quality leadership and staff development offerings through effective needs assessments, course design, qualified/professional instruction, program evaluation, use of current development resource materials, and learning reinforcement strategies and applications.
     Consult with senior and department leadership to identify, diagnose, and support organizational development interventions and solutions in partnership with HR department.

    III. Position Requirements:
    A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: ICF or related coaching certificate preferred.

    B. Education: Master’s degree in Organization Development, Human Resource Development, or related field of equivalent work experience. Doctorate degree in Organizational Development highly preferred.

    C. Experience: 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience developing and implementing leadership and organizational development programs in a mid-to-large sized healthcare environment, to include experience in OD improvement cycles and experience designing and implementing learning strategies to support business objectives. Change management and project management experience. Healthcare experience preferred.

    D. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Must have working knowledge of adult learning principles to support strong team coaching and facilitation skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and evaluate programs.
    • Requires diplomacy and the ability to problem solve in a team environment.
    • Ability to determine training needs and appropriate method for delivery of training, which may include the design and delivery of that training. Must be able to deliver presentations to broad audiences.
    • Ability to analyze organizational structures, responsibilities, team work, business or operating procedures and work processes to design efficient methods of accomplishing work.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Effective computer technology skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Office desktop tools and electronic communications such as e-mail, calendars, etc.

    III. Degree of Supervision Required: Involves general guidance and direction by the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Nursing Officer. Employee will be expected to perform most job duties independently and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

    IV. Orientation Period: In coordination with the Chief Executive and Chief Nursing Officers, the Senior Director or Leadership and Organization Development will draft and monitor against a 90-day orientation plan.
