    Position Duties

    Executive Development/Talent Management: Lead the year-long Cox Leadership Program (CLP) for high-potential candidates and senior leaders from Cox businesses. Design and implement changes to current program as needed, manage program logistics, facilitate experiential learning sessions, and select and supervise external executive coaches.

    Create new executive development initiatives based on needs identified through other work (high potential identification, assessment, succession, consulting, etc.) by designing innovative action-learning approaches.

    Support our talent management initiatives in identifying enterprise senior leader learning needs, and building and executing effective leadership development strategies that align leadership development efforts with business and talent strategies.

    Coach: Serve as Executive Coach for senior executives, participants in leadership development programs, executives transitioning into new positions, and as needed by Cox businesses.

    Internal Consultant: Partner with Cox Enterprises business leaders to identify key business issues, propose solutions, and assist in successful implementation of solutions in the areas of: talent management, organizational design, change management, strategic planning, problem-solving, teaming, performance management, and succession planning.

    Facilitator: Lead large and small group development and problem-solving session as part of development and consulting role. Develop agendas based on client’s needs.

    Design Learning: Periodically assess development needs of leadership populations, develop corresponding learning solutions, and ensure successful implementation. Use knowledge of distance learning and various instructional methodologies.

    Build Relationships and Commitment: Cox Enterprises is a highly decentralized company of over 200 different businesses. “Selling to” and collaborating with these businesses to implement client-focused solutions is an integral part of this position, as well as maintaining strong internal client relationships.

    Qualifications

    Candidate Profile

    • Ten solid years in executive development and organizational effectiveness
    • Strong interpersonal, executive coaching, and facilitation skills (demonstrated C-suite experience).
    • Strong consulting background with senior teams in organizations of similar size and scope to Cox.
    • Experience in change management, talent management and team dynamics.
    • Strong business acumen (business strategy, sales, operations, finance)
    • Proven ability to diagnose and develop solutions for resolving complex people and business challenges for which there might not be a clear path.
    • Line management experience required.
    • MBA or other graduate degree such as a PhD in Industrial/Organizational or Consulting Psychology a plus; up to date on best practices
