Reporting to the Director of Leadership & Executive Development, this position will lead Symantec’s global leadership development approach in the areas of assessment, high potential development and overall leader development approaches and assessments. With more than 20,000 employees across the globe, this position was created to provide a focus on our most valuable advantage – our employees, and to create a cohesive approach to our talent strategy. Success in this role will involve partnering closely with our global leaders, HRBPs, global functional learning teams and all HR COE’s.

Responsibilities:

• Co-develop and execute on the vision, mission, guiding principles, goals and tactics for leadership development at all levels across the company.

• Lead the approach for leadership development at all levels in the company including high potential development strategies and execution.

• Create, launch and lead an assessment and talent calibration methodology across all leadership levels.

• Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders to assure that development programs are aligned with specific business priorities and outcomes. This includes business leaders as well as HR business partners and employees.

• Serve as an Executive Coach when needed to key members of the leadership team in the context of broader development approaches.

• Dotted line leadership of program manager who will be the high potential development program face and lead for design and execution.

• Be an internal consultant for designing and driving talent transformation and change; this includes providing insight, education and perspective to discussions and decisions relating to talent.

• Connect talent strategies to workforce planning, recruitment, intern programs, on-boarding, accelerated development, talent movement and retention of identified key talent

• Facilitate communities at all leader levels and stages – exposure, experience and education.

• Bring market intelligence, innovation and perspective to conversations and development strategies and solutions with a strong focus on the business impact

• Work with our internal employee communications and culture team (also on the HR team) to develop and deliver development programs regarding talent practices and programs

• Support M&A and reorganization activities as required

• Strategy development: You should be able to define the strategy, clearly communicate the strategy, and then execute it.

• Evaluation and Reporting: Design robust (multi-level) evaluation strategies for measuring the results and impact of learning solutions. Prepare and present quarterly and annual talent development metrics and reports that assess and measure impact and ROI of Leadership and Executive Development initiatives.

• Be an experienced and dynamic facilitator, presenter, story teller and coach. There is a facilitation component to this role and you should be comfortable working with all levels of managers / leaders.

Qualifications:

• Experience: At least 8 years of experience in talent development, learning and development or HR consulting within the Leadership & Development space. Must have deep expertise in management and leadership development e.g. knowledge of core learning theories, frameworks, assessments etc. The successful candidate will have previously developed high impact assessments and leadership development programs from scratch and have demonstrated positive impact for the business.

• Full-cycle Delivery: You should understand and have developed learning evaluation methodologies, conducted needs analysis, designed & developed learning programs, and facilitated experiential learning programs.

• Relationship Building: Ability to build deep relationships and partner both cross-functionally and globally. Strong executive presence and business acumen.

• Budget Management: Experience of setting and accurately managing a budget

• Environment: Experience working in a high tech, high-paced, hyper growth environment

• Attitude: Confident yet humble, flexible, approachable, open to feedback, have solid judgment, take ownership from the outset. Be comfortable laying the foundation while aspiring to world-class results

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree required in Business, Education, HR, Psychology or other related field. The ideal candidate would have an advanced degree in organizational psychology, education, or a related field.

• Technical: Strong MS Excel and PPT skills
