Leadership Development & Agile Learning Facilitator

We are looking for a top-notch facilitator as a part of our Learning & Development team who will be responsible for creating and executing first-rate leadership development, education, and coaching content that will help us in our adoption of Agile.

Initially, this person will guide our transition from more traditional business roles to roles that support an environment more conducive to Agile. Some example shifts include:

Project Managers > Scrum Masters
Business Owners > Product Managers and Product Owners
Subject Matter Experts w/functional accountability > Team Members with shared accountability

This will be accomplished by developing and presenting effective and engaging learning sessions, observing newly trained teams in action, and providing feedback on adherence to Agile structure and principles and conducting follow up training as needed. The role is part of Learning and Development and will also perform other enterprise wide L&D and Leadership Development responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist leaders in identifying and implementing agile practices in the appropriate areas of their business
  • Facilitate leadership and learning programs that support company goals which includes the adoption of agile
  • Prepare and facilitate training to team members on Agile frameworks, competencies, methodologies and best practices
  • Coach multiple newly formed Agile teams on Agile principles, self-organization, effective user stories, estimation and daily/weekly routines
  • Conduct ongoing evaluations to ensure effectiveness of Agile project teams and implement modifications as necessary
  • Serve as a mentor and a coach for Scrum teams and business leaders on Agile practices and principles and ensure that they are followed consistently across teams
  • Train and mentor new Agile coaches
  • Facilitate change at both the individual and team level
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of Agile and Scrum principles and make adjustments to training content as needed

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of prior experience designing and facilitating adult learning, preferably in a corporate setting
  • Strong track record of successfully coaching leaders through change
  • Demonstrated experience working with multiple levels of leadership
  • Foundational understanding or demonstrated ability to quickly learn Agile methods such as Kanban or Scrum, and/or prior project management experience using these techniques strongly preferred
  • Experience implementing large organizational and cultural change
  • Experience improving delivery team effectiveness through analysis, teaching, facilitation, and impediment removal
  • Ability to obtain applicable industry certifications (ACP, SAFe and/or Scrum Master) within 6 months of hire

Preferable:

  • SAFe certification
  • Scrum Master/Product Owner certification
  • 2+ years of leadership development experience working with multiple levels of leadership
  • Master’s degree in business, HR, or related fields
