Currently we are looking for a Part-Time International Career Coach living in and able to service clients moving to the Toronto area.

JOB DESCRIPTION: PART-TIME INTERNATIONAL CAREER COACH / INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR

REA services address the expatriation and repatriation needs of the accompanying spouse/partner. Program services are tailored to meet the individual needs of the relocating client and include transition assistance, career assessment, skills evaluation, resume and cover letter development, job market research,  networking techniques, interview preparation and salary negotiation. These multi-faceted services, which are provided to clients at all career levels, include career advisement, coaching, and/or consulting primarily by telephone and via email, with occasional face-to-face interaction. Acclimation and life/transition assistance is a necessary bi-product of our career coaching expertise. Ongoing, proactive client mentoring by the coach is important.

COACHES WILL NEED 2+ YEARS EXPERIENCE AND FIT THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience having lived/worked abroad and experience in cross-cultural coaching or global mobility.
  • 2 + years career coaching including:  Career Development –  Career Transition  –  Resume/CV Writing
  • Not be working in full-time employment
  • Excellent networking, resourcefulness, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible schedule with days, nights, weekends as necessary to deliver services across multiple time zones.
  • Have a professional office set up including computer and email.
  • Available for face-to-face coaching as needed.
  • Willing to work with clients on a flat fee billing structure.
  • Comfortable being supervised.
  • Proactive & comfortable working with a diverse population of relocation clients pursuing a variety of career options such as entrepreneurial, professional organizations, home based business, or volunteer opportunities.

Many of our international consultants are solopreneurs with career coaching or consulting private practice. They have experienced the challenges of living/working abroad, have expertise in career planning and intercultural issues, and have joined REA to supplement their client base and benefited from:

  • Expanded client base and additional income stream – no marketing for new business required.
  • Flexibility of hours and ability to work from home.
  • Supportive community providing ongoing learning, professional recognition, and a wealth of REA resources.
