McKinsey & Company is looking for consultants with Consumer Operations experience in end-to-end planning (demand planning, supply planning, production scheduling, etc.), cross functional collaboration, and overall process management in manufacturing environments, and/or performance improvement.

Our roles are suited to people who can apply problem-solving and experience-based judgment to complex challenges by focusing on the critical issues and constraints that affect business performance.  We seek individuals who demonstrate leadership, integrity, a sharp analytical mind, creativity, and the ability to work with people across all levels in an organization to make them successful.

  • 5 years+ of front-line work experience with a distinctive record of achievement and impact, with a focus in at least one of the following areas:  consumer planning, consumer operations management, performance improvement, and/or operations support functions experience at a major consumer goods or retailing company
  • Knowledge and experience in application of continuous improvement programs, i.e., Operations Transformations, Lean/Six Sigma is strongly preferred
  • Experience in leading large implementation programs crossing multiple functions
  • Strong influencing, coaching and communication skills across all levels of an organization, plus a passion for seeing others succeed
  • Willingness to ‘roll up sleeves’ and work at all levels of client organization
  • Undergraduate degree in engineering is strongly preferred
  • Advanced degree or MBA from a premier institution is preferred
  • Flexibility to travel regionally or globally up to 80% depending on client and base location
