EYs Social Enterprise team helps support social collaboration for the firms 170,000 employees globally. The position is responsible for assisting EYs leaders and the Social Enterprise team by providing social collaboration coaching for EY leaders.

The Executive Coach will assist and take direction from the sub-team lead, Social Enterprise Thought Leadership and Executive Engagement and work collaboratively with other members of the team.

Essential Functions of the Job:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Social Enterprise team and EY leaders by:
  • Providing one-to-one and small group coaching for global EY leaders regarding how to best leverage social collaboration for themselves, their employees, and their groups
  • Building and nurturing relationships with other groups providing training for leaders to help appropriately embed social collaboration topics
  • Collaborating with other EY groups to create and provide training for EY leaders
  • Consistently using the tools to model leading practices and creatively communicate product applications
  • Participating in online conversations internally to highlight best practices and increase Social Enterprise team visibility. Set tone, expectations, and rules of engagement for leaders
  • Working with the Enterprise Social Interaction Lead to prepare leaders to participate in online events
  • Providing ongoing support for leaders beyond initial coaching sessions via online tools (e.g., Yammer)
  • Staying current on leading practices and how other organizations are demonstrating value and success using social applications and training leaders
  • Providing guidance to key groups across the organization regarding how to best use social collaboration
  • Participating in professional networking by interacting with peers and influencers both internally and externally
  • Identifying, engaging, and building relationships with advocates and key influencers throughout the organization
  • Helping leaders understand and communicate value and success metrics for their groups
  • Capturing and documenting leading practice examples from within the organization
  • Proactively escalating issues, observations, opportunities, and insights to the appropriate team member

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:

  • Executive Coach must have excellent planning, writing, presentation, and verbal communication skills particularly the ability to meaningfully communicate seemingly complex information to mainstream audiences.
  • Sub-team Lead must have confidence and experience managing up (as well as laterally and down), since this person will be tasked with the planning and execution of communication strategies for specific leadership through the global EY organization.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

  • Experience developing curriculum and delivering learning programs
  • Broad understanding of fundamental business and technology concepts
  • People-oriented. Gain satisfaction from helping people and find it rewarding to assist, educate, and interact with a wide variety of individuals
  • Exceptional verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills. Adept at conveying seemingly complex information to mainstream audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to work professionally with executives at all levels. Be comfortable and have experience working with C-suite level executives. Must be able to influence and earn the respect of senior leaders
  • Keen understanding and appreciation for the conflicting demands impacting leaders and how best to cut through the noise to deliver a compelling, memorable call-to-action
  • Strong group facilitation, consultation, and leadership/executive coaching skills
  • Experience with change management projects. Experience implementing change efforts in global complex, matrixed management environments a plus
  • Internet savvy. High degree of knowledge and familiarity with social networking & social media. Keen understanding and awareness of internet trends
  • Good knowledge of how social tools work, how they interrelate, and can be utilized to grow and strengthen internal collaboration

Supervision Responsibilities:

  • Although this individual will have no direct supervisory responsibilities, they must have strong time management and organizational skills.
  • They must meet deadlines and work successfully with minimal supervision.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work cross-functionally
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt to change quickly. Comfortable navigating through ambiguity
  • Commitment to continual process improvement
  • Experience with geographically diverse teams a plus

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in business, human resources, organizational psychology, or related discipline required. An advanced degree in a relevant field is preferred (e.g. business, change management, organizational development, industrial/organizational psychology, communications, etc
