Responsible for providing assessment and counseling/coaching services to clients in the Integrated Services Department. The Behavioral Coach will utilize proven clinical and evidence-based behavioral change techniques. Some of these methods may include motivational interviewing, readiness to change models, appreciative inquiry, self-efficacy, goal-setting and other proven strategies. Assists in the development of assessment tools and outcome measurements to ensure competent and effective coaching. The Behavioral Coach will properly triage clients with the appropriate level of counseling and/or coaching service. This role will support clinical and behavioral sciences integration and collaborate with wellness team members. This role will meet one-on one either face to face or telephonically with clients. This is not a long-term behavioral health therapy position and will have limited time to work with clients in achieving outcomes.
Minimum Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or related Master’s degree in Mental Health, preferred
Minimum Experience Requirements
Two years counseling or coaching experience
Previous experience in health care setting or a corporate environment, preferred Knowledge of health and wellness
License/Certifications
* Professional Certified Coach Certification through the completion of an International Coach Federation (ICF) Accredited Coach
Training Program (ACTP) required within six months of hire/transfer date
* Current Colorado State License as Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Clinical Social Worker (CSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is preferred
Physical Requirements
Light Work – exert/lift up to 20 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. frequently.
