The Ayers Group, a firm that enhances careers and expands leadership horizons is seeking a Director Executive Coaching & Development. Recognized as one of the largest regional Career Transition and Executive Development firms, The Ayers Group is a specialized division of the Outsourcing Consulting Group of Kelly Services, Inc.

The Director Executive Coaching & Development will have the opportunity to support the Executive Coaching & Development (EC&D) sales efforts in New Jersey, acting as a Subject Matter Expert and supporting all EC&D sales efforts in New Jersey. In addition, the qualified candidate will act as engagement manager for accounts in New Jersey and share accountability for managing BASF coaching activity. Overall the director will act as executive coach and consultant to business unit leaders. The incumbent of this position will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with existing EC&D consultants and continue to source and onboard new qualified consultants for New Jersey and other locations, as needed.

This position can be based out of either the Parsippany or Princeton, NJ offices.
Responsibilities:

Delivery
-Provide executive coaching to key clients. Twenty five percent of time is required for coaching delivery

Engagement Management
– Source and vet coaches for New Jersey and in markets where there are coaching needs. Screen prospective coaches and edit bios according to EC&D standards
These are mostly in domestic geographies but from time to time these can also be international locations
– Support BASF coaching activities around the North America footprint: source, screen & vet coaches, act as engagement manager for selected coaches, act as SME for GLF, Assimilation, Team workshops, Transfer Session. Participate in internal and client update phone calls, Invoice for engagements bi-weekly.
– Act as engagement manager for select accounts
Supporting EC&D sales efforts
– Write coaching and related proposals in accordance with EC&D practice standards. Seek out approval from Managing Director for variances to standard practice and pricing
– Take opportunities to seek out speaking engagements at either Ayers events or outside related organizations on talent management topics
– Participate in sales calls and presentations with sales people to position EC&D services

Market To & Manage NJ Accounts
– Integrate leadership challenges and opportunities into potential EC&D service offerings. Involve SME consultants and coaches as needed to pitch services, write proposals.
When sold, organize the commencement of services, contract with coaches/consultants, manage invoicing process, and act as an engagement manager over various projects. This includes generating monthly reports of activity.
– Provide executive coaching and related services to select leaders
– Participate in chemistry meetings with potential coach leaders
– Coach in assimilation, high potential development and occasionally in a remedial situation.
Depending on capability also provide 360° feedback, work with teams and or other related OD assignments

Desired Skills and Experience

Qualifications:
– The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, an advanced degree plus a minimum of five to eight years of executive coaching and/or consulting experience in organizational development services.
– Master’s degree in organizational development a plus.
– 3 – 5 years organizational development experience holding a corporate position preferred
– Previous background in human resources (i.e. talent management, training and organizational development, etc.), executive coaching, team building consulting services highly preferred.
– A minimum of 8-12 years of experience as an independent executive coach
– Ability to engender confidence in TAG brand, influence prospective coaches to want to be part of coaching team
– Understand and be proficient in consultative selling. Being a good listener and prober of issues.
– Writing skills with subject matter expertise in Executive Coaching and related leadership development space
– Ability to build and grow relationships. Engender trust in a potential client to deliver quality services.
– The ability to listen and focus on client goals, needs and budgetary realities
– The ability to communicate effectively particularly with a potential leader who is evaluating you as a potential coach or consultant
– Have subject matter expertise in the areas of leadership development, Organizational Psychology, Behavioral Sciences, etc.
– Have some assessment certifications i.e.: Hogan, Lominger, CCL, EQ, Clark Wilson, PDI, etc.
– Know how to manage the business side of coaching engagements
